Connections
Give the connection a name you will recognise. Choose the local Mac folder with your files, then Test connection and Save connection. Testing only reads the server; it does not upload. Keep automation off unless you want to allow it.

Passwords in Keychain
Keychain is local to this Mac. iCloud is not required. Turn off to keep the password only until you quit PexTransfer.
Sync
Compares size and modification time. No files are deleted. Select the changes to apply.
Scheduled transfers
Keep PexTransfer open and your Mac awake. Missed jobs run when the app is available. Files are read at the scheduled time.
